From the first moments of life through the early postpartum period, your baby’s healthy transition to life outside the womb is supported with gentle, attentive care.
Newborn care includes:
Immediate assessment of your baby at birth while supporting uninterrupted skin-to-skin contact
Monitoring of breathing, heart rate, temperature, and overall newborn adaptation
Honoring the Golden Hour and delayed cord clamping
Breastfeeding support and guidance
Administration of newborn procedures & screening tests, as desired
Ongoing assessment and education during the first hours, days and weeks after birth
